The Elevator Museum is one of the only brick and mortar museums of its kind in the world. This rare collection of over 4,000 original artifacts, machines, plaques and literature are on display to see .
We'll take you back to the 1800's and show you how a water hydraulic elevator operated.
Understand the mechanics and operation of a early 1900's shipper rope freight elevator.
We have original 1954 Elevator Inspection certificates from the White House's freight elevator and oildraulic sidewalk lift. Check out the OTIS flyball governor from the Mount Washington Hotel's passenger elevator.
We have the largest collection of American made cast iron elevator plaques in the world.

The Elevator Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the history and artifacts of this great trade. During the Industrial Revolution elevators played a vital role in developing our country in the factories and buildings across America.

Friday 5:00- 9pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm
Sunday 9am - 1pm
We can also open by request if available, contact us in advance to arrange an appointment time that works for you as we have a volunteer staff.
